LTO Tape Library
The “LTO” in an LTO tape library stands for
“Linear Tape Open.” The LTO tape library uses LTO tapes, which are heralded for
their high capacity and outstanding reliability. An LTO tape library is ideal in
both an automated and a stand alone environment and is perfectly suited for
archive and data back up applications.

In addition to the 143 tape cartridges (up to a 114.4TB) this LTO tape library can hold, the 8x143 has support for LTO-1, LTO-2 and LTO-3 tapes and uses just 20 u of rack space.
