 The need for robust, fast, high-capacity backup designed for mission-critical data has never been stronger. With the advent of the M490L Autolibrary, you can now have easy, automatic access to 15 standard 1/2 inch data cartridges, providing all the benefits of true mainframe-class backup and hierarchical data storage management (HSM) at entry-level prices and in desktop space.

Utilizing twin 7-cartridge magazines, the M490L allows operators to easily handle many cartridges at once. The 15th slot can be used for "priority" jobs or a cleaning cartridge.

The M490L can house one or two M490E cartridge units, the two drive version being ideal for Disaster Recovery Programs where dual backup sets can be created simultaneously, one for offsite safekeeping and the second for on-site file recovery.
