StorageTek™ WolfCreek® 9360 tape library
The StorageTek™ WolfCreek® 9360 tape library is a lower cost-of-entry,
robotic library that provides automated shared storage to a wide variety
of open and proprietary operating environments. Its scalability makes it
well suited for small to mid-sized environments that require smaller
increments of storage granularity.
- Shape saves space/enhances performance. Hexagonal-shaped
cabinet requires less floor space than other automated systems and
rotational robotics maximize cartridge exchange rate.
- High exchange rate. Performance starts at 90 exchanges per
hour and upgrades to 350 exchanges per hour.
- Scalable capacity. Standard 500-cartridge capacity upgrades
to 1,000 cartridges with minimal disruption to ongoing production
operations. Compact Cartridge Access Port (CAP) holds 20 cartridges
with expansion to 50 cartridges. Additional libraries can be easily
attached and managed as a single automation system.
- Flexible. Supports a mix of StorageTek cartridge tape
drives including 4480 (18-track), 4490 and 9490 (36-track), SD-3
(RedWood), 9840 (performance-centric) and T9940 (capacity-centric)
models
